Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your use of FarmMarket Wales operated by FarmMarket Ltd. By using our platform you agree to these terms.

1. The Platform

FarmMarket Wales is a bilingual Welsh/English marketplace connecting Welsh farmers directly with consumers. We facilitate transactions but are not a party to the sale contract between farmers and consumers.

2. Eligibility

• You must be 18 or over to use the platform
• You must be located in the United Kingdom
• Farmers must operate within Wales
• You must provide accurate information when registering

3. Farmer Obligations

• Complete KYC verification before listing products
• Ensure all produce listings are accurate and legal to sell
• Fulfil orders promptly once accepted
• Maintain food safety and hygiene standards
• Connect a valid UK bank account to receive payouts
• Comply with all applicable food safety regulations

4. Consumer Obligations

• Provide accurate delivery information
• Make payment at time of order
• Be available to receive deliveries
• Use the platform only for lawful purposes

5. Payments

All payments are processed by Stripe. FarmMarket Ltd charges a platform commission on each transaction. Farmers receive payouts directly to their connected bank account. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis through our support team.

6. Cancellations and Refunds

• Orders can be cancelled before the farmer begins preparation
• Refunds are processed within 5-10 business days
• In case of non-delivery, a full refund will be issued
• Quality disputes must be raised within 24 hours of delivery

7. Prohibited Conduct

• Creating false or misleading listings
• Attempting to transact outside the platform
• Harassment of other users or staff
• Listing products that are illegal or unsafe
• Creating multiple accounts to circumvent bans

8. Intellectual Property

FarmMarket Wales, Marchnad Fferm Cymru, and all associated branding are the property of FarmMarket Ltd. You may not use our branding without written permission.

9. Limitation of Liability

FarmMarket Ltd acts as a marketplace facilitator. We are not liable for the quality of produce, disputes between farmers and consumers, or delivery delays caused by third-party carriers. Our liability is limited to the value of the transaction in dispute.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or harm other users of the platform.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
